Faye of California today is a continuation of my grandmother Faye's brand from the late 80's. First established in Stockton California as a dress and coordinates label, it is now my creative outlet and a constant reminder of my grandmothers legacy. 

In re-establishing FoC I wanted the brand to revolve around up-cycling found textiles. 
Every piece is handmade from pre-owned materials, entering them into another life cycle and away from a landfill.

"From death comes life.” This may sound dark but it is a truth we all consciously or unconsciously live by everyday. We are a product of those who precede us. This is the way I think about my art, as "death transfigured". Previously discarded/unwanted materials give life to each of my projects, a certain feeling of soul and story that is often non-existent in the brand new.
